Fashion is one of the considerations of most women nowadays. Being fashionable is seen as equal to your ticket to be accepted in the society. The challenge now lies on how to keep yourself updated with fashion trends and fads and learn how to recognized the fashion that never goes out of style. Keep yourself updated and also dare to mix and match with dress up games before you rush for the shopping at your favorite fashion boutiques! Here are some of the things that will help you out on being fashionable and fabulous.

Accent pieces. Spruce up your wardrobe with new combination to change its look. Add a bit of your personality on it like adding beads to your bags, or mixing up vintage with your new clothes. If you are thinking of buying new wardrobe, browse with dress up games and find the similar dress that you want to buy, mix and match it with the one that you already have and see if it fits your style. In short, make dress up games your model for fashion by doing it virtually. Another way to accent your pieces is to add a hint of color. A dull leather bag will surely look stylish with a purple scarf but avoid it being too big or distracting to your outfit. Also put some creativity with your hair accessories like experimenting with headbands or printed scarf.

Learn how to do the right hoarding. Every year, clearing up your wardrobe and putting old clothes away should be part of your cleaning. However, it is also a good idea to stock up on basic pieces that never goes out of style like an oversized belt, striped knits and neutral colored turtlenecks. You can see the difference that I'm referring to by mix and match it up with dress up games. Striped knits can be perfect for layering for office clothes and also best for chilly days.

Create your own combo of colors at dress up games. The best way to be fashionable is to set your own imprint. This imprint will clearly reflect your personality like experimenting with colors not only for the wardrobes that you wear but also with the accessories that you pair it up. Use of playful frames and Lucite bangles in a flowy halter will make a perfect combination. However make sure that you do not overload colors such as matching bold colors with dark separates. Still, the most simple is the most fashionable.

Find the clothes that adore your shape. One of the greatest mistakes that women do is to force clothes that do not fit well to the body making unsightly contours and curves not in their right places. Wear clothes that highlight your assets of the body to make you a bewitching and fabulous babe. These can vary from the top and skirt that you pair or the corset tube that you matched with those gray jeans.

Being fashionable is very easy. Just know your personality and experiment with dress up games. With these, you will make a sophisticated woman out of you.

Dealing With Your Teenager and Inappropriate Fashion Trends

If you're the parent of a teenager, then you know how teens like to keep up with the latest fashion trends. This is understandable, as teens are trying to establish their own identity, outside of identifying with their parents. However, there is the likelihood that some of these fashions may seem inappropriate, even to the most lenient of parents, and especially to those who are more conservative in nature. You don't really want your daughter in short shorts, or low cut tops, and you probably don't want your son looking like a thug or hoodlum. Where do you draw the line between your teen dressing in trendy fashions and dressing inappropriately? Perhaps, more importantly, how do you draw the line?

When it comes to dealing with your teenager and the fashion trends you don't find acceptable, your first reaction may be to lay down the law, and rule with an iron fist. You are the parent, after all, and in your home, your rules must be followed. That's a fair agreement, isn't it? However, this sort of philosophy may do more harm than good. Just think back to when you were a teenager. Most likely, you would respond unfavorably to being told how to dress by your parents. That may have worked well as a child, but teenagers want to establish their own independence and identity. The best option is to take a different approach than the authoritarian one.

One of the many cases where you most certainly should speak with your teen about their fashion choices is where those choices could end up causing harm. Many of the teen fashion trends involve wearing clothes that are quite revealing. This can send a dangerous message that your teen is marketing himself or herself sexually. Your teenager probably won't see it this way, but those who see your child very well may get that message, whether it was intended or not.

In this case, you should sit down and explain your concerns. Let your teen know that there is the possibility that sexual predators may interpret their provocative fashion style as being an invitation to receive attention. Calmly explain that if this is not the message that he or she wishes to send, then perhaps it would be wise to reconsider his or her fashion choices. Taking the time to explain the logical reasons behind your concerns will be more likely to be effective than simply demanding, "You aren't leaving the house in those clothes." You may even find that your teenager feels a sense of gratitude that you treated him/her in a more adult manner, and be more compliant with your wishes, realizing that your position on the issue stems from actual concerns for his or her well being.

You and your teenager should also be aware that fashion trends can sometimes change rapidly. What's in today, may be out in just a few months, never to come back in style. It's entirely possible that the fashion trend your teenager seems so enamored with, and that you detest so much will be a quickly passing phase.

You could also work together with your teen to look at trends that the two of you can agree upon. There is a wide variety of fashion magazines and online fashion sites that you can explore with your teen to look at alternative trends that may be more acceptable. You can point out things that, whether you appreciate the taste of them or not, are fashions that you would find to be within the confines of what is acceptable. This could also turn into a fun bonding experience, as well as a good way to come to a compromise with your teenager.

One more benefit of finding common ground with your teenager on what fashions are acceptable is that it could reduce friction between your teen and school dress code policy. Just as teenagers don't like being told "you can't wear that" by you, they can also resent the enforcement of a school dress code. Schools often prohibit students from wearing certain types of clothing, especially offensive or revealing clothes. Learning to work together with your teen may have the benefit of preventing an issue with school authorities from ever becoming a problem, or resulting in any sort of suspension or disciplinary action.

Taking these few steps to try to cooperate with you teenager instead of ruling your teenager should help reduce the level of conflict that you have between each other. Teens like to be fashionable, but that doesn't mean that they have to wear things that are inappropriate. By working together, you can help your teenager to understand why it is your duty as a parent to impose a more responsible sense of fashion.

Fashion Trends of the 70's Dress Designs

The 70's dress designs were practically innumerable. Starting from the bell bottoms to the printed blouses people would wear anything and everything they liked. The 70's dress designs were a mix of the minis the midis and the maxi style dresses. Ladies would wear bright colored blouses and would wear the minis along with them to dress up in a trendy way. To complete their fashionable dressing they would wear knee length boots with their minis and would flaunt them in a trendy way.

As far as the men were concerned they would wear the bell bottoms which were in vogue and would carry long hair which was usually curled to make it look attractive. Wearing shirts with big collars was the most in thing then and even the men would go in for floral prints for their shirts. Flared trousers and loose shirts was a fashion statement as far as the 70's dress style was concerned.

The fashion trend of the 70's dress designs was more or less based on the carefree theme of the hippies. Everyone was carefree and relaxed in their dressing style and wore different styles of clothes which would be relaxed and trendy. While the men would wear the bell bottoms and flowery shirts with broad collars, the women would wear the minis with boots of knee length. Most of the young men and women would only focus on following the hippie's trend.

The 70's dress style also included the use of a lot of accessories which included the use of bracelets, wigs and headbands etc which were used by both the men and women in their dressing. Moreover during the 70's even men used to keep long hair and big sideburns which were considered to be trendy. Most of the male movie starts and celebrities often followed the trend of keeping long hair and mostly wore the floral and trendy outfits which were in vogue those days.

Even these days when people organize theme based parties they tend to choose the 70's dress style due to its colorful and jazzy look. With shimmering clothes and disco lights the entire party actually comes alive. Men in bell bottoms and broad collared floral shirts and women in the minis with floral tops actually make the entire party very lively and entertaining. While the 70's dress style is very much appreciated for theme parties, people often get confused about attending a party which has the 70's dress style as the theme. Since the 70's dress style involved a gamut of dresses that one could choose from people find it difficult to decide what to wear for their 70's theme party.

Those of you who haven't had the opportunity to look through some of your old family photographs should ideally watch the movie "grease" or the music shows that were done by the "Bee Gees". This would give you a clear picture of 70's dress style which was followed at that time.
