Sometimes mens clothes appear too intimidating especially to women. Only a number of men interest in learning little details about their clothes, they are actually the most confident shoppers. Presumably the only time they tried on something is when they bought their suit or tuxedo for their wedding.

Mens dress tops are more accurate in sizes but you should consider a few details before swiping your credit card. There are many changes in mens dress tops recently. The patterns, colors and even fabrics are far different from the style in previous years. Men may want to take a minute to notice recent fashion so that they would not appear a little bit old-fashioned.

Sizes have remained standard for a long time. If you are a medium size built it does not mean you can wear a medium size top. There are two key measurements for mens tops: the sleeve and neck width. In the shirt label, you will see two sizes indicated, the first size is for the neck and size below it is the sleeves.

In mens clothing, the waist and the shoulder measurements are accounted. Supplementary information like full-cut and fitted indicated in the label describes how loose or slim the top is made. Each designer has their own information and if you have a particular preference for your tops it would be best to try them on.

Trends on the patterns and colors are far different now. The customary starchy plain white top is no longer impressive to many people. Nowadays, clothes specially the tops are more considered to blend well with ones eye color, skin tone and skin.

If you have difficulty distinguish colors just use commonly favored ones like the grays or blues. It would make you look refreshing in a tasteful way. Patterns can be quite a struggle to match with tops, pants, jackets or neckties, a little sweat will do help.

Your manner of carrying your ensemble is also important. The conventional way is to fasten the shirt to the top, tuck it in and a necktie. It may appear very respectable but it looks too suffocating. Tuck it in then leave the top button undone; it may look relaxed yet respectable.

On casual occasions, you can still appear respectable even if dress shirt is untucked and top button is unfastened. One will look leaner and taller. If you are confuse on what to wear, it would be better to go over dressed. Take off your necktie and unfasten the top button to appear a bit casual.

There maybe details that is not important for men to know, but a little awareness on the latest fashion would not hurt.
