How to be a Successful Model If You are Not Six Feet Tall

Posted: Thursday, July 28, 2011

When you think of modeling, do you picture 16 year old, waifish thin and very exotic looking girl? Fashion modeling is the most prestigious category of the modeling industry, because about a dozen of fashion models have actually achieved the status of celebrities.Fashion modeling industry is not open to everyone and has very strict standards: height, weight, age and measurement requirements.

Fashion models have to stay very thin to fit the clothes they are modeling, and even though many people in the industry might deny it, the pressure to have zero body fat is enormous in the fashion world. If you are lucky enough to actually get a modeling job, most editorial projects (such as magazines) don’t pay a lot, and it takes an average fashion model a few years to build up her portfolio to start getting big fashion campaigns and other high-paying modeling gigs.

The biggest problem of fashion modeling today is competition. Some girls did drugs. The atmosphere overall was extremely competitive, which reflected the way fashion modeling operates in general. The most common misconception about modeling is that the industry revolves around fashion. Closer look reveals, however, that fashion modeling is not the only option for someone who tries to be a model.

Commercial, fitness, fit and showroom, glamour and fetish, artistic, convention and parts modeling could be easier, less competitive and healthier options for the aspiring models.
You can make $3000 a day,” says Frank Marsi, commercial photographer, “You can also work much longer, there are commercial models in their late thirties.”

Catalogues, some billboards, most advertisements and TV commercials use commercial models. The height and weight requirements in commercial modeling are not as drastic as in fashion, and they very from job to job. A catalogue, for example, would require a taller model for clothes to look good, but an anti-balding shampoo ad would feature a middle-aged gentleman, who’d be the perfect model for that particular product.

To become a commercial model, you would need a composite card with about five pictures that look natural and pretty. Start by finding a good local commercial photographer, who’d shoot your photos. Then you can visit modeling agencies and show them your photos. To get into the world of TV commercials, the best option is to send your headshots to casting directors who cast for commercial work. Fitness modeling is obviously for the fit. Protein bar ads, health shakes ads, sports clothes ads, fitness magazines – they all use fitness models. Muscle And Fitness magazine photographer Brian Moss finds most of his models at fitness conventions and contests, although he sometimes looks for his models on the internet.

Moss says that fitness modeling is easy to break into, if you have the right look.” Fitness models should have great muscle definition and work out regularly. “There are many girls, there are many beautiful bodies, but there are very few beautiful girls with beautiful bodies. The pay for fitness magazine shoots is about $150 a day. Magazine jobs could lead to doing commercial fitness work, which pays more.

Fit and showroom modeling could be somewhat boring work, but it pays well. Showrooms pay about $300 a day and fittings pay $100-$200 an hour. Showroom models show the clothing samples to clients. Generally, showroom work is booked through agencies and it is very seasonal – it’s busy after the fashion show season.

Fit models have to be a specific size.
Female fit models range from size four to size 14, but size eight gets the most work For males it’s the medium size that fits the most. Fit models can keep working for a very long time as long as they keep their measurements. “Our oldest model gets the most work and she is in her 50’s,” says Rogo.

I do fit modeling quite frequently. The best way to become a fit model would be to visit your local fashion design school. Calling modeling agencies and asking if they have a fit division helps, too. More independent-minded fit models can try calling clothing companies directly.

Glamour, fetish and artistic modeling are for the brave among us. If you decide to model in these categories, be prepared to take your clothes off. There is more work for females, so male models should probably concentrate on other areas. Modeling agencies aren’t the best source of unconventional or nude work, so you might want to check out some web resources, such as glamourmodels.com or garageglamour.com. For those with exceptionally beautiful body parts, such as hands, feet, etc. there is parts modeling.

To get into this huge and well-paying market you would need photos of your best body part to show to modeling agencies in your area. Modeling can be very fun, exciting and well-paid work that doesn’t have to involve starving and breaking your high heels while walking to millions of castings. If you really want to model, you are likely to find your niche in that business. And remember, the most important qualities that make a good model, regardless of the category she or he chooses to work in, are: confidence, patience, persistence, and punctuality.

A. Haute-Couture Collections Take Paris Fashion Show By Storm
Paris fashion week is now over and the latest fashion sensations for the autumn/winter 2006/07 season have been released. The Dior show was themed around medieval armour and the Italian renaissance, with a touch of Blade Runner thrown in. Kylie Minogue delighted onlookers by gracing the Chanel show catwalk following her recent cancer recuperation. Karl Lagerfeld’s creations did not disappoint either with fantastic modern styled tweed creations, combined with denim boots and jeweled heels, three-quarter length coats, jeweled fingerless gloves which flirtatiously left the models shoulders bare, and tantalizing touches of brocade.

This year men were well represented in the fashion stakes, following on from years of conservative styling. Collections of monochrome suits, surfer style inspired prints and cutting-edge sportswear abounded with unisex portfolios presented in characteristic style by Jean Paul Gaultier, with possible Dior future designer, Kris Van Assche, displaying interchangeable his and hers suits.

Paris fashion is however more eternal than simply the high profile shows. Paris is a fashion Mecca. Armani, Chanel, Dior, Lacroix, Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent, Versace and Kenzo are just a few of the big names for those with deep pockets, while many smaller boutiques and shopping centres provide more affordable fashions for anyone wanting fantastic styles without the fantastic price tags, and there is always the ready-to-wear shows coming up in October to look forward to.

B. So What Do You Really Know About Fashion?
Fashion is extremely seductive, slightly elusive and ever changing. Dictionary.com defines fashion as:
• The prevailing custom or style, as in behavior or dress.
• The characteristic or style of the social elite.

To most people, fashion is a method of utilizing hair, accessories, and clothing to either hide or emphasize something about them. Moreover, fashion can be used to disguise the true self, yet it can also be utilized for self expression.

Whose opinion matters?
In fashion, the designers are the great influencers. Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, and Miuccia Prada are some of the directional designers for remixing classics (Prada) or vintage-inspired styles (Jacobs).

Usually, there is a cycle that fashion follows for an upcoming season:
• Starting from about 5-6 months ahead, press people will start attending several fashion shows to see the designer collections.
• Opinion leaders (like socialites) and celebrities will usually be the first ones to wear these new trends, therefore spurring the public to accept it.

In today's world, there are only three major hubs for manufacturers and designers of accessories and fashion apparel - these are Milan, Paris, and New York. Although, you can also find excellent ones in Sao Paolo, Sydney, Hong Kong, Toronto, Los Angeles, and London.

The elements depicting the original piece will be turned into more acceptable pieces before they reach the store.
Experts say that the healthy way for you to approach fashion is to pay attention to it in small doses. Being in fashion shows that you are quite flexible and modern. For example, say your country is at war yet you wear the current season's fluffy ruffles, then you could temporarily break away from the harsh reality of your world through your clothes.

Your own interpretation of fashion speaks about your good taste.

When to Treat Hypertension

Posted: Sunday, July 24, 2011

When your blood pressure is over 140/90 mm Hg (millimeters of mercury), lifestyle changes might not be able to bring it back to normal levels. "Hypertension treatment clearly prevents death and illness. Data recently compiled from many studies show that for mild and severe hypertension, combined antihypertensive drugs reduce the incidence of strokes 42 percent and heart disease 14 percent," according to Larry Katzenstein, senior editor of American Health magazine.

While drug therapy prevented these dangers, it made patients suffer from impotence, headaches, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, frequent urination, and other unpleasant side effects.
Although some of these drugs remain in use today, reduced doses given by doctors nowadays have greatly lessened side effects and can effectively treat hypertension at the same time. "Patients with side effects for one drug can usually be shifted to another that won't cause problems. The goal is a drug regimen that lowers blood pressure below 140/90 mm Hg while causing minimal side effects," Katzenstein added.

In treating hypertension with drugs, how low should you go? Doctors once thought that the lower the blood pressure, the better for the patient. They even kept readings below 120/80 - the classic "normal" blood pressure. "A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association suggested that patients faced an increased risk of heart attack when their diastolic pressures fell below 85 mm Hg. The authors speculate that hypertensives with preexisting heart disease may need the heart's blood flow maintained above that level," warned Katzenstein.

A. Complications of Hypertension
The symptoms of hypertension include headaches, fatigue, dizziness, ringing in the ears and frequent nosebleeds. One may have high blood pressure for years without noticing anything or feeling different. For hypertension can extensively damage the body. Over the years, the excessive force of blood on the artery walls can lead to heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure and other serious complications.

"High blood pressure ranks as the main cause of stroke because it weakens arteries in the brain, paving the way for a rupture or blood clot. It also contributes to coronary atherosclerosis (the buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries that nourish the heart) which increases the risk of a heart attack. It damages tiny vessels in the kidney that are needed for filtering the blood, which can lead to kidney failure. High blood pressure can also cause blindness by damaging vessels that provide blood to the eye's retina," according to Larry Katzenstein, senior editor of American Health magazine.

For mild cases (in which blood pressure measures 140/90 or 140/104), lifestyle changes may be all that's necessary. "In most instances, mild hypertension can be controlled once you remove the factors that, contribute to it. "Two factors account for the shift away from drugs in treating mild hypertension: uncertainty over whether their benefits outweigh their unpleasant and possibly harmful side effects, which can range from fatigue and headaches to elevated cholesterol levels; and recent evidence that nondrug approaches can often lower blood pressure to normal levels," Katzenstein added.

B. The Real Cookie Diet! A Contemporary Way to Lose Weight
One of the most popular and contemporary ways to lose weight is through the Real Cookie Diet. In fact, this has been featured in many top-rated media such as CNN, ABC's Good Morning America, People Magazine, The New York Times, E News, The FOX Morning Show, Forbes, The Washington Post, Toronto Globe and Mail, and NBC's Today Show. The man behind all of this is Dr. Sanford Siegal, a health expert, prominent physician, an author who claims that we could burn fats by just eating cookies.

One living proof of this is Josie Raper from Phoenix who confirmed that she lost an amazing 120 pounds by doing this. At first glance, you may think that this is another fad diet because it does not make sense to combine these two words at all: cookie and diet.

This is because most dietary programs address cookies as fattening and unhealthy, so it is impossible to eat this and burn fats. Dr. Siegal did not give up on his endeavor to prove to the world, and so the Real Cookie Diet came to existence.

Brochure design tips:
Use upper and lower case of alphabets for get attention. The bottom line is turn a piece of paper into a marketing tool for your company should be the motto of every brochure designed.

A. 5 Myths About Brochures That Can Cost You Dearly
Business brochures can be a valuable marketing asset when you launch a new business, introduce a new product or service, or decide to propel your business to a new level. The right brochure can provide a profitable payoff for business owners as well as professionals such as financial advisors, attorneys, and consultants.

Unfortunately, though, most brochures don't work. They end up on the shelf trapping dust, and you become another "Brochure Victim."

The solution to unlocking big results from your brochure...even on a modest budget...is to recognize these 5 common brochure myths.

Brochure Myth #1 - My Graphic Designer or Printer
Can Provide All I Need To Make My Brochure Pay Off
All too often marketing savvy is absent from a brochure. If marketing is an afterthought, then you've lost the chance to gain a big payoff from your brochure.

Brochure Myth #2 - Design Is The Starting Point
And Everything Else Follows
The secret is that graphics, layout, and design are NOT the prime ingredients in your brochure. If you ignore, underestimate, or overlook the other elements vital for success, your brochure will let you down.
Even then, it is vital to call on marketing basics to get results.

Brochure Myth #3 – My Logo And Company Name
Should Be The First Things People See
What should catch your reader's eye first? The answer is whatever surprises, disturbs, or astonishes your readers into paying attention to your brochure. That becomes your headline.
No, the name of your company, your logo, or empty phrases such as "From Concept To Reality" or "Integrity, Quality, And Service" don’t count as headlines.
One idea for a high-energy headline is a benefit that speaks to your prospects' deep-rooted fears or intense desires. Your brochure is no exception.

Brochure Myth #4 – The Next Step Can Be
Left To My Reader’s Imagination
Visit your business?

Brochure Myth #5 – I’ll Find Multiple Uses
For A Generic Brochure
No one deliberately sets out to sabotage their brochure's success. Your brochure can serve you well when everything dovetails to convey a strong message to your selected audience. That’s a far cry from a one-size-tries-to-please-all brochure!
Creating a brochure that really works draws on: how smart you are about putting all the right stuff into your brochure.

B. Create a Professional, Attention-Getting Brochure
Printers today are
producing more printed marketing materials than ever. Meeting prospective clients face-to-face takes time and effort, and sometimes you need a creative way to introduce yourself and your company.

Brochures are a great way to package and deliver a lot of information about yourself, your business and expertise into a format that is easily mailed or handed out at a business meeting.

Brochures can be given to current clients to pass on to possible referrals or even left in brochure holders in different locations.

What is a brochure, exactly?
Brochures range from a simple two-fold design using one sheet of 8-1/2 inch x 11
inch paper to elaborate 9 x 12 inch pocket folders with pages stitched in and insert
sheets.

Getting started
If you have never created a brochure before, start by collecting a number of brochures (including competitors') that represent a wide range of quality—from simple one and two-color on textured stock to slick 4-color glossy brochures.

Next, you will need to create some basic brochure copy about your business. Even if you're not a professional writer, putting some thoughts and facts about what your business does on paper will help make more concrete what information your brochure needs to convey.

Does my company have a market niche?
What message will get a potential client's attention?

What kinds of brochures and what level of sophistication are typically crossing your client's desk?

Will the brochure need to be a self-mailer?
Key information to include in your brochure:
Mailing address.
Fax number.
E-Mail address.
Website address.

What does a brochure cost to produce?
Brochures can vary from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars. Because there are so many variables involved in producing a brochure such as quality of paper, number of ink colors, use of photographs, number of brochures printed, etc., it is difficult to estimate the final costs until all the specifications are determined.

Four color process printing, varnishing and special treatments such die-cutting, foil stamping can add additional costs to producing a brochure, and may well be worth it if they enhance your brochure and the image you wish to project. Other cost considerations are whether you need professional photography, help with writing or editing copy for your brochure.

If you have seen a brochure with a similar amount of information and photographs as you need for your brochure, a designer can use it as a model for determining printing and production costs.
Another consideration when designing a brochure is postage. Larger brochures will be more expensive to mail and if you are planning on doing a large mailing as part of your marketing, an oversized brochure may be expensive to mail. Larger brochures don't fare well through the postal system and often end up wrapped around other mail. Brochures which fit in a standard #10 business envelope give you the best buy in terms of postage and protection while mailing.

Using a business envelope also allows you to mail a cover letter and business card as well.

Updating an existing brochure
I worked with a client once who had sales of over a million dollars a year, but was still using a very dated, unsophisticated brochure produced by a printer nearly ten years earlier. While reputation alone helped the company's sales, their brochure was doing very little to promote them as a cutting-edge company to potential customers who had never heard of them.
If you have a brochure you produced a few years ago, it might be a good idea to have your brochure evaluated by a someone outside your company to make sure it projects the image of your company today and sets you apart from your competition. Often, a small company will produce an inexpensive brochure just to have something for a trade show or for telephone inquiries. As a business grows, the image of the business can outgrow the first brochure's image.

Why have a graphic designer involved in creating your brochure?
Many businesses are producing promotional and sales materials internally or are relying on a printer to put a brochure together for them. There's nothing wrong with either of these approaches, provided you have the time and expertise to make all graphic design decisions that will produce a sophisticated brochure that's right on target.

In addition to making design decisions, a graphic designer can serve as your project manager and will see the brochure from concept through successful completion.

Most designers work with several different printers and can provide you with a printer that has the capabilities to print your brochure. If you need help with writing your brochure copy, many designers work with freelance writers and photographers.

Some Parting Advice . . .

Carpenters have a saying, "Measure twice, cut once," which applies to creating your brochure. By defining what your brochure should do and doing some research first, your brochure can be effective, informative and get prospective clients' attention. By utilizing design and printing professionals and by paying close attention to details, you can have a brochure that truly represents your business and is something you can be proud to hand out and mail to potential customers.

Have you ever noticed the impact celebrities have on modern-day society? From the way my parents and grandparents talk, they could have cared less what celebrities were doing.

Now days we have psychotic individuals
Stalking Britney Spears, and guys having plastic surgery done to look like Brat Pitt. This is utterly pathetic. Oh, and watch out if some popular celebrity comes out with a fashion line or fragrance. What do girls see in Paris Hilton handbags or Jennifer Lopez dresses? Are they really that wonderful or are folks just following the leader?

You will see tons of clothing lines with the names of actresses and models on them. Oh, there's a new Britney Spears perfume? We've got to stop buying into the hype of Jennifer Lopez dresses and shoes designed by actresses. It's time to get your own life. I am profoundly happy that my teenage daughter does not buy into all the celebrity attire and fragrance lines. She wouldn't be caught dead in any Jennifer Lopez dresses. Just the other day she was telling me that Jennifer Lopez spends thousands of dollars just to have her eyebrows waxed.

Now there's a stellar individual with priorities. How can one even spend so much money on a simple grooming procedure while millions of people are suffering around the globe? World a better place.

B. Learn How to Get the Jennifer Aniston Look Using a Flat Iron
Celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Pamela Anderson and Jennifer Lopez have made straight hair fashionable. However, these beautiful women weren't born with perfectly straight, shiny hair. Top stylists use the Sedu flat iron to create the look that Jennifer Aniston has. But you don't have to be a top stylist to achieve this look; using the Sedu flat iron allows anyone to have perfectly straight, shiny hair - every time.

Sedu tourmaline and ceramic flat irons are top rated by consumers and stylists alike. Other good tourmaline flat irons include the T3 Tourmaline flat iron and the Solia Tourmaline flat iron. The following steps will show you how to use a flat iron to get that Jennifer Aniston look.
1. Always read the manufacturer's instructions before you use the flat iron.

2. Use a good conditioner when you clean your hair. Heat drying hair - whether by blow-drying or straightening - dries out and damages hair. Using a good conditioner helps protect your hair.

3. Dry your hair well using a towel and putting it flat and in a keep.

4. Blow-dry your hair making sure it is thoroughly dry.

5. Set the flat iron to the correct temperature. Divide your hair into sections no wider than the heating plates of the iron, and straighten slices no thicker than half the width of your heating plates.

6. Use even pressure while stroking your flat iron from the root to the end without stopping on any part of the sectioned hair.

7. Straightening the back hairs can be difficult. How to avoid damaging your hair when using a flat iron.

Heat applied to hair damages it; a conditioner will help protect it.
1. Always - and I mean always - use a protective serum when using your flat iron. When used correctly it will give your hair a shiny lustre and makes the flat iron glide through your hair.

2. Always keep the flat iron moving. Never keep the flat iron stationary on a section of hair or you will burn it.

3. Don't use your flat iron every day. Applied heat damages hair. If you use your flat iron correctly, the style should hold for days.
After a few times, straightening your hair will be easy.

How to Dress Like a Female Rockstar

Posted: Friday, July 8, 2011

These days, being a vocalist or a member of a rock band is not just for tough guys-it is also becoming more and more popular among girls. You will find many female vocalists these days such as Amy Lee of Evanescence, Hayley Williams of Paramore, and Shirley Manson of Garbage.

It is no wonder that many young girls are following the footsteps of these "rocker chicks". For female vocalists, it's hard to achieve the tough, I'm-a-member-of-a-rock-band look without being too masculine. Male rock band members can wear lots of tattoos, black t-shirts with skulls and crossbones, and a spiked 'do. For females, these might be too much.
To get that tough yet feminine rock star look, here are the things that you should do.

Take note of their usual style.
• Think of one piece of clothing that you can make as your trademark style. Can you still remember Avril Lavigne's signature tie? Her tie is one of the reasons why many people noticed her. Other examples are Courtney Love's baby doll top or Gwen Stefani's clothes with patterns and bold colors. if you like wearing heavy make up with green lipstick, then you can make it as your signature style. Or if you want to sport a pink hair, it will be easier for the people to remember you.
You can find great clothes fit for a rocker chick in thrift shops and online stores.

• Since you are just starting your career as a rock star, it's very important to be consistent and to stick to your style. This will make people remember you more by associating you with that style.

A. Memorable Fashion Icons
Some of the most renowned fashion icons never really knew or expected they would be considered icons at some point in history. It is impossible to imagine fashion without its Hollywood influence; and vice versa. Black glasses and long black coats remind today's generation of Neo on the Matrix movies.

Colors also play a big role in identifying fashion icon followers; especially the sexiest women in film. Black for example, makes you think of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's as well as white on the other hand, which covered the most desirable body in Hollywood, Marilyn Monroe and her famous scene in The Seven Year Itch, the most recreated scene in Hollywood history. Pastels are reminded of the elegance that Jackie-O transported everywhere she went with her regal and classic style.

Today, Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwen Stefani are favorites with their unique styles that inspire confidence and ownership of their styles and personalities. With Sex and the City, Parker has embarked on the adventure of inspiring women everywhere to wear headpieces, wear dresses over other pieces of clothing, wear clothes that clash and always love your shoes. Stefani on the other hand, owns her punk chic personality with her unique confident style that even brought her to create her own fashion line.

Some icons are born on the red carpet, who can forget Julia Roberts' vintage Valentino dress while picking up her Oscar for Erin Brokovich, Sharon Stone's pairing a Gap T-shirt with a Valentino skirt or even Bjork's infamous but memorable swan dress.

You can also be a memorable fashion icon among your own social group by daring to wear unique styles that reflect your personality with just a glance.

B. The Sweet Escape By Gwen Stefani Makes You Jig With The Music
American singer, songwriter, fashion designer and occasional actress Gwen Stefani is a case in point. I was just listening to The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani and I could not help wondering at her many talents. The Harajuku girls are a part of her back – up dancers with whom Gwen Stefani has made public appearances and had also drawn criticism for racism.
The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani was her second solo album and it adds up to the more than 30 million albums that she has sold worldwide.

Gwen Stefani has started her career with a band called No Doubt but the band’s popularity went into a steady decline with their third album Return of Saturn. Gwen Stefani had recorded her first solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. It sold over seven million copies and enjoyed tremendous international success. The sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani became her second solo album that was released in 2006 and was made popular by the track Wind It Up which achieved moderate success across the globe.

Gwen Stefani catered to her musical tastes in her childhood with ever popular music of The Sound of Music and Evita and even created a demo tape for her father but she was encouraged not to take music lessons. Stefani also embarked on the international Sweet Escape tour in 2007 and performed opening acts with Akon and Lady Sovereign. A singer a performer, a fashion icon, Gwen Stefani has ceaselessly performed her many roles and has managed to successfully capture the heart of millions across the globe.

Fashion Show Events

Posted: Monday, July 4, 2011

A fashion show is an event put on by a fashion designer to showcase his or her upcoming line of clothing. The first American fashion show likely took place in 1903 in the New York City store Ehrlich Brothers. American retailers imported the concept of the fashion show in the early 1900s.

Fashion
Featuring runway garments from the spring and fall/winter collections of ten influential couturiers and designers, the exhibition explores the ideas and inspirations motivating Paris fashion today, and why, in an age of globalization and instantaneous communication, this venerable city remains the fashion capital. In the 1800s, "fashion parades" periodically took place in Paris couture salons.

The first American fashion show likely took place in 1903 in the New York City store Ehrlich Brothers. By 1910, large department stores such as Wanamaker's in New York City and Philadelphia were also staging fashion shows. By the 1920s, retailers across the United States held fashion shows.

Models
Models in a fashion show have to change their clothes all the time to present new items to the public. Models strutting catwalks at London Fashion Week should provide a certificate attesting their good health, but there should be no outright ban on wafer-thin women, the British Fashion Council said on Friday. Spain and Italy have recommended banning models with a body mass index (BMI) of less than 18. "We favor the alternative approach of promoting good health based on medical assessments of models participating in London Fashion Week," it said.

A. Alternative Clothing from Its Inception in the 70's to the Contemporary Style of Today
It’s not hard to understand then, how this once rebellious fashion trend, popularised by "hard core" punk bands of the 70’s and early 80’s, has grown in popularity.
• Alternative punk fashion was the dress code of a music influenced urban punk subculture and was then considered rebellious and confrontational, a far cry from contemporary brands such as Addict an Iron Fist. Bondage clothing, tapered jeans, and well worn, almost destroyed, leather trousers dominated the punk clothing scene as well.
• Footwear for the alternative clothing scene embraced a selection of styles ranging from motorcycle boots (complete with buckles and steel toe caps) to combat boots and Doc. Martens.
• With the advent of contemporary punk fashion there are various contemporary elements of style watered down from hardcore punk clothing, this type of fashion consists of jeans, ripped and customised, usually from top designers at top prices, or camos a hoodie, and a simple, screen printed, t-shirt with a flavour of rebellious anarchy.
• The punk fashion scene since the advent of the original look in the 1970's, has evolved into the mainstream, for better or worse, and since then clothing stores and even fashion designers have taken punk fashion to an entirely new level.
